The Automobile Database, officially known by Wikia as Cars Wiki, is a wiki database about the automobile, its history and anything about them. This includes, but is not limited to, cars, trucks, vans and buses.
When creating an article about an automobile, please follow these steps:
- Articles about automobiles are coordinated via year. (IE - 2008 Toyota Corolla) VIN Database articles go about the same way (2008 Toyota Corolla VINs)
- Follow the style as shown in 2008 Dodge Magnum. This includes the proper sidebar and color (search other automobiles of the same make for the proper colors) and the standard sections in regards to trims of the vehicles.
[edit] VIN Database
Our wiki features a unique section called a 'VIN Database', which is essentially a database of VINs. These can come from sources such as auto dealers, our editors, etc. but should not include personal information about the owner (if any). IE - No names, addresses, exact locations, or license plates.
When creating a new article in the VIN Database, please follow the styling of other VIN Database articles. Take, for example, 2HGFG12867H506132, a 2007 Honda Civic VIN. It lists basic details, mechanical data, Options (accessories and such), and known history. When in doubt, check another article!
